(personal) Not a good news day

I got a lot done today, and then got derailed for a bit by finding out that an old friend that I had lost track of died today. Of breast cancer.

She was a year younger than I am.

This sucks, folks. She had 3 kids, and dammit, she was a year younger than I am. I'm going to be 34 in April. She's been fighting it for 5 years, but it spread, and she lost.

Dammit, dammit, dammit.

Thanks, me too. The saddest thing I've heard about this so far is that apparently her ex wouldn't let the kids see her in hospice. How tragic is that.
