We lost Joe a year ago today. If you have a minute, go check out his friends' memories of this very, very special man.

I worked with Joe on the Grimoire - he has a chapter in it, and the book is dedicated to him. Joe was a great guy, very professional. I still miss him. :(

Unfortunately, no. Our satellite provider doesn't have the channel that carries A's games, and the radio station it's broadcast on is a very weak signal where we live, so I'll probably have to do my usual thing of logging on to MLB.com and getting the play-by-play Java updates, walking by and checking them out every now and then.

The A's have such a horrible broadcasting system that's it's no wonder that wreck of a yard is half-empty almost every time. Our radio guys are great... they just aren't broadcast locally here in Sac except on special occasions.

Having said that, Dice-K has a flavor. Him taste like defeat ;)

Honestly, the $14.99 for the Gameday radio is awesome. And you get your own local radio guys, which I love. So no matter where I am, I can listen.
