So, a lot of you know that I've been clearing my schedule lately, because I've been feeling overwhelmed. A lot of you may have also noticed that I'm not all that happy with my job. Well, last night, I took a big step towards changing that.

I turned 34 on April 1. I'm not where I wanted to be professionally at 34. I'm not in the career I wanted.

So May 6th, I start my second stint in college.

I'm attending Hesser College in Concord, and going for my associate's degree as a paralegal. I'm terrified (it's been 11 years since I GRADUATED college, for heaven's sake!) but I think it's the right step.

So wish me luck, guys, because I'm going to need it!

Good luck!!!! When I returned to college in my adult years, I had a teacher tell me he loved the older students best because they were serious learners. Go kick some paralegal class butt!

Thanks! I'm really buckling down this time - no more partying to distract me!

LOL, if you're sick of people I understand why no more HR. Although since I've become a manager I've been dealing more with financial issues than people.

Yeah, but I'd make a lousy manager.

Really, what I want is to spend my days researching case law and writing briefs. That sounds awesome to me.

Sounds like fun. Lemme know when the parties will be, and I'll bring the diet root beer. I mean keg. Yeah, keg.

Good for you!

I wish my schedule and finances would allow me to go back to school. It may be a while before I can though. Do it while the doing's good!

Re: Good for you!

Thanks!

If it weren't for the tuition reimbursement here, I would have been hurting. But between the 90% reimbursement and the rolling financial aid, I should come out of this with very little debt.

Hopefully. *crosses fingers*

I completely understand how scary it is to go back to school after a long hiatus. It will be scary, but fun and exciting too! Enjoy it! :)
