This is getting very old. I'm going to do the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) for the next couple of days, to give my system a break and see if that helps. If not, I'm heading back to my GI and trying something else.

I know what this is - it's a reaction to stress. I don't like my boss at work, so that's stress. I don't like the atmosphere at work, so that's stress. I'm still trying to finish Seasons, which is uber-stress.

So, anyone got any good stress remedies? *sigh* I'm going to give my system a rest, and I'm going to make a concious effort to slow down and remember to take care of myself.

Today, I am taking it easy. I'm working on fixing my outline for Seasons, doing dishes, replanting some of my plants and putting laundry away.

And pondering.

a mint steam always perks and destresses me! a couple mint tea bags in a pot of simmering water. steep two minutes, remove from heat, drape head with towel over pot - stay for 7-8 minutes. great recharge.

Ooh, sounds wonderful! And something I can do on break at work! Thanks!

Stress remedy: Stop doing the things that are stressing you out in the first place.

Hehe - then I'd be jobless, broke and out of my writing contracts. :p

Reading and killing things on the PS2.

Hope you feel better soon, lady!

Hmm, no PS2, but I have WoW. Thanks!

Are you in chat? If so, I might wander in.

I was a little earlier, but now we're hitting the heat of the day and I'm taking a break. Won't be back around except to check mail and whatnot until after 10 EST. And YOU should be in bed by then, miss sick lady, but I'll pop in just in case you're around. ;)

I probably will be in bed by then. I'm going to try and be in bed by 10-10:30 every night.

*hugs* My stress remedy usually involves locking myself in a room somewhere for awhile so I don't have to talk to anyone because that tends to stress me out more if I'm already stressed. But then I'm an introvert and I'm not sure you are, so I don't know if that would work for you. *more hugs*

Sometimes, that's not a bad idea. I'm thinking I'm going to take my lunches and get some "me" time.

Leave the office for lunch, take a walk or run some errands. At work ask your boss if you should do project A or B first, and if anyone complains about project B say boss said do project A first. Don't kill yourself doing your job, they won't appreciate it and will expect you to twice as much later. If possible start looking for another job.

Make sure there are firm boundaries regarding work/personal life. If work calls you at home return the call when you are in the office. You're too busy to respond.

Luckily, work doesn't call at home. I'm a phone rep, so once I leave, it's done. It's the whole "I'm tied to my phone, and so I can't do anything else" that's getting to me.

I'm definitely going to be making those boundaries about my lunchtime more firm, though. I need to get out more.

Thanks!

Chamomile tea with 2 teaspoons of honey. Drink while still hot.

Also I think the act of the tea-making does as much to calm and focus as the tea itself. As long as I have the means to do it, I make tea to stave off panic attacks, and it's always helped to at least reduce the effects of the attack (headache, shakiness, nausea etc.)

And I send the talking a walk at lunch thing. Just getting outside the building helps.

Yeah, I have to start making more tea at work - unfortunately, I've fallen back into the Pepsi habit. *sigh*

Get the hubby to give you a massage.

Boss stresses us all out. So does work. I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I started getting symptoms.

I'm always better much faster.

I know! Well, we'll see - hopefully I can start this new Zen attitude and keep it for more than a day.

There's an amino acid formula you can get at GNC that's their "Multi Oil Complex" (blue bottle) that one or two people i know swear by.
