Okay, finished the character sketch on Sapph today, while listening to some words of wisdom from Wen. You know, I think she's right - you really shouldn't lock yourself into a series until you have the fan base that is clamouring for it. Definitely something to think about as I get farther into these character sketches.

I'm thinking of taking my random character generator tables out again, and start just randomly generating some characters to play with. Could be interesting - yeah, just what I need, more projects. :)

And (drumroll please) the first stab at my website is up! Visit it! Comment on it here! And yes, I will come up with something witty for the front page - I'm just not sure what yet.

Yup, splurged and got my own domain name. Don't I feel special. :D

More tomorrow...

I have to agree. That's something I have been thinking about for some time. I have put a lot into my book which is meant to be a series, probably a lot more than what I would put into a stand alone book. You want to make sure it does well. Any book has a better chance if the author is known. So you're only doing yourself a favour if you get your name out there first and then try the series. But with me I couldn't leave Sorcha on the burner for later. I wanted to write it before I tried anything else. I'm happy and I will have a book tucked away for later shortly. Heh. Now I just need to focus on another book to write so I can start knocking on those agent doors. :D
