Don't give up Valerie. My first year I didn't succeed but my dad had passed away in Oct and I was using it as a method to heal. It didn't work. I've done it four times since, finishing my NaNo novel at 53K this year and after I go back and edit, it should push close to 70K.
Thanks for the encouragement. This is my third year - I've yet to finish, although last year, I had 48k by the end. I'm hoping to finish this year - we'll see.
