I got some more done on the outline, but honestly, what is making me want to write a mystery??? Hmm, couldn't be the fact that all I've been listening to in the car has been Campion, Dagliesh, Poirot, Whimsy and Miss Marple, could it? No, I didn't think so.

(I have an absolute weakness for British sleuths. Blame it on my parents, especially my mother, who devours every British murder mystery she can get her hands on and then passes them on to me. I swear I'll write one someday. If I ever seriously considered writing fanfic, it would be Whimsy fanfic. Or Dagliesh fanfic. Or Campion...*sigh* I also have a soft spot for Inspector Lyndley, but I haven't found him on tape yet.)

So, we have progress. We have a mystery. We have a missing Earth Lord! Oh yeah, and Nikki can't do ANY offensive magic. Damn, guess she'll have to rely on her brains.

This should be fun.

I know, he's Belgian, but honestly, it's still a British murder mystery. And Hastings is so amazingly British.

I love Lord Peter. When Harriette first made her appearance, I was sooo jealous. But I'm glad he got the ending he did. :)

Did you read the most recent one? Busman's Holiday? Superb. I loved it.

And the gent they have who played him on Mystery was AWESOME. Spot on.

Ooh, I should see if the library has Cadfael on tape!!!!

which gent? There were two actors who played Lord Peter ;-)

The very first Mystery! I ever saw was The Nine Taylors and I was hooked, completely.

I'll have to talk with you about Clouds of Witness, the one where his brother was accused of murder.

and yes, I read Busman's Holiday, but I think the one set in Oxford, Gaudy Night, is still my favorite.

Oh, I loved Gaudy Night.

And argh, now you're going to go make me look up who I mean. hang on.

Edward Petherbridge - who incidentally starred as Lord Peter in the BBC production of Gaudy Night. :) I didn't recognize the other one.

And you know, I completely need a Bunter. Seriously.
