If you're taking suggestions from the peanut gallery, allow me to recommend Harlan Coben. No, wait; scratch that. Let me suggest Harlan FREAKING Coben. Best guy I've found to read since Jim Butcher.

Notice has been served.

Hey Val! I'm so sorry it's taken me so long, but if you're still willing to answer some questions for the DII newsletter, here they are (I figured this might be the best place to send them to you... hope it's okay).

1. To start off with, maybe you could say a little bit about your Horsemen series, what's out so far and what's up next for the Horsemen?
2. What's your current project?
3. You're very busy, how do you make time for your writing?
4. You cook a lot, and really amazing sounding food - does it influence your writing, do you find descriptions of food creeping into your stories?
5. I know you do contests to promote your work because I've won one. So what are your thoughts about self-promotion for authors? In your experience, is it helpful?
6. And speaking of self-promotion, how about a chance for you to plug things you have coming up soon. I know you edited Rum and Runestones, could you talk a bit about that and anything else you have coming out soon?
7. I know you go to some conferences, so what are your thoughts on con-going? Is it a good idea for writers?
8. What's the best piece of writing advice you could share?

Oh no! I'm so sorry, both because I bothered you for no reason and because I'm sad to see you go. Mostly the second one. Hopefully we'll keep in touch. I'll miss you at dii :(

Sadly, I couldn't devote the time anymore, and felt I was just taking up room. But I might be back, if the work load settles enough to allow me to participate again. And I'll still be here! You're always more than welcome to IM me too.
