Wow. What a weekend. You know, I'm looking forward to having NOTHING to do for SCA-type stuff until June (Midsummers). I never realized just how much work a major event was behind the scenes. Whew - I needed Monday to just recover! I still need to get gate numbers for merchants to Del and post the court report, but that's tonight. Then I just need to get the list of merchant info up to the site, and my stint as Merchant Steward is done. I've learned a lot - I'm going to put together a kit for the Merchant Steward next year, so hopefully there won't be some of the bumps I ran into. I'm sure they'll find new ones. :D

Healthwise - I'm back to journaling all my food. I'm still having a Mt. Dew Throwback a day, but I'm down to only one, and I'm hopeful that I can find something else I like to drink cold that I can replace it with. I'm contemplating iced tea again - I brew my own, so no sugar. I'll have to try that this afternoon, I think. Other than that, Argus and I are looking at the Y for a membership - our health plan will reimburse us for the Y, but not for the gym I'm going to now, and the Y has a POOL. That's the big thing - I love to swim, and I don't get to very often. Have to look at the scheduling, but if it works, we're switching. Other than that, I have a cold, one that won't quit, and it's irritating me.

Writing - I can write again! Yay! I've got two projects I'm working on - finishing up Rum and Runestones to send to the publisher (by next week) and, of course, writing Last Rites. That's due at the end of the month, but I'm going to push and see what I can do on it.

It's so nice to only have a few deadlines. Seriously.

Congratulations on the lightened work load! It's always nice to look a little way down the road and not see traffic for a change.
But Eep! I didn't realize you were so close on Rum and Runestones. Since I never heard on my hopelessly late submission, should I take it as a given I showed up too late for the party?
Cheers and good luck on the editing. Can't wait to read the anthology, regardless.
Hugs and smiles,

Yeah, sadly, it did get in too late. But I might hold it for a sequel, if you don't mind. I'm already thinking ahead. :D

Works for me. Just let me know...whenever you're certain, that is. :-)
Again, mega apologies for being so late. RL did a number on me, and it wasn't even a bad one. \*o*/
Hugs and smiles,
Jean Marie

I assume that's the Y in Concord? Let me know what you think. I've got a membership in Manchester, and I've been kind of vaguely thinking maybe I should look at Concord now that I'm working up there.

Um, eek, expensive? I don't know how much you guys are paying, but it's $852 a year for a couple in Concord. I've got my eye on a few others, but they all look pretty rich. Sadly. Although The Racket Club of Concord (http://www.rccofconcord.com) is a possibility.

That $100 or so higher than Manchester, if we were paying full price. Weston had some kind of deal with them where they subsidize part of it as an incentive to employee health and fitness. I keep expecting it to disappear when we moved to Bedford, but so far it hasn't. We pay by the month. so it doesn't seem so frightful. $52 a month doesn't seem so dreadful for unlimited hot tub for two. Of course you do have to wear a bathing suit, but you can't have everything...

You could look into a hot tub in the garage - of course, you'd have to convince the cats that they couldn't drown anything or anyone in it...

We should have Rob put a hot tub in his Basement Cat Angels story...

Oh, if one of us ever wins megabucks, there'll be one of those sunrooms with a hot tub and fireplace in our future. :-) Short of that though, I don't see us affording it any time soon. Any anyway, we do actually exercise too most nights when we go there. I've done more than 50 miles of laps in the pool over the last two years.
