A Light Through the Darkness

So, I opened my first imp from BPAL today. I tried "Ode on Melancholy" today.

Ode on Melancholy: Beauty, joy, pleasure and delight: devastated. This is the scent of the hopelessness, torment and despair of love. Lavender and wisteria, heart-wrenching pale rose, desolate white sandalwood and thin, tear-streaked white musk.

I really like this one. It's very pale (can I use that to describe a scent?) and brings to mind a lonely spirit, wandering through rose-strewn corridors, looking for lost love.

It fades after a bit, but I still catch hints of it.

Yep, Val got a royalty check, which means Val can spend a wee bit of money on her two newest obsessions:

1. Bentos: I bought some egg molds, veggie cutters and another box. It is soooo cute - pictures when I get it.

2. BPAL: I ordered six imps - Hellcat, Jolly Roger, Ode on Melancholy, Danse Macabre, Haunted and Blood Kiss. I'm in love with the names already. Hopefully I'll get them before Christmas.

Working on my sister's blanket at work, and glad it's big enough to snuggle under!
