A lot.

However, now that I'm doing feeling sorry for myself, it's time to do some work.

To Do Tonight:

- balance checkbook
- pay bills
- tweak budget for the two bills that just came up

- character sheet for Wings
- 1k on Seasons

So, I had another idea attack me the other day, and the more I think about it, the more I really want to write it. It's "Pretty Woman" meets "Amityville Horror," with bits of "Dark Angel" and "Buffy" thrown in.

Doesn't that sound cool?

Got my first eBay purchase in the mail! It's "The DC Guide to Writing Comics" by Danny O'Neill. It's AMAZING - and full of comics. :D I'm getting very excited by this. Really. But Danny has a bunch of cautions about rushing the comic, and I know myself enough to know that if I short myself on the character/story development, I'll end up doing a MAJOR rewrite. So, despite the fact that my artist is CHOMPING at the bit to get moving, I'm going to keep doing the prewriting work I know needs to be done.

Also need to start working on two more outlines: Descent into Darkness and Last Rites. I do not want myself written into a corner.

Well, got through Assignment #5 in the 2YN book (which I highly recommend - go and buy it on www.hollylisle.com) for Darkness, and about 350 words done on Seasons. Bleah. It's too hot to concentrate.

And I think I'm sick. Bleah.

Darling:
It was white. Not just winter-white, but completely white; snow and ice surrounded him, not blowing, but simply there. This was a storm unlike any he’d ever experienced…not even the storm of a month ago, the one that had howled as Nikki and Tony had tried to bring the Facility down around their ears. That storm had raged, wreaking destruction with driving winds and crashing rain, like a Panzer attack. This storm, on the other hand, was more interested in an old-fashioned siege.

Deaths: The generator.

This is going to be a hard book to write. The characters are dealing with a lot, and I'm not making it easy. And yet, I think it will be a very interesting book. They're going to have to grow up, and fast.

I keep finding places where the other series is affecting this, too. I might actually start playing with scenes from Descent into Darkness, just because it's so weird to see how the two stories are affecting one another.

I love balancing acts. :D
