Just to remind myself:

Apocalypse Cycle
- Get Dark Moon Seasons to publisher
- Write outline for Last Rites
- Record podcast of Not Your Father's Horseman and submit to Podiobooks

Edgewood Trilogy
- Plot outline for trilogy
- Write outline for Descent into Darkness

- Write Snow and turn in to Lilley Press

Pendragon Chronicles
- Finish revising Belladonna Dreams and start shopping it about
- Start outlining Aconite Muse (working title and yes, I know it sucks, but I'm working on a theme here, I think)

- Outline Shanghai
- Outline Blips
- Possibly outline Raindrop Escape

It looks like a lot, but I'd like to get some more books in the outline stage so I can pick them up later. And outlining some of them now will give me the chance to get ahead on the ones that are already contracted.

I don't know if I'm doing NaNo. I'll probably hang out, but I never seem to finish - something ALWAYS comes up. I dunno. If I do, it will most likely be either Shanghai or Aconite. I need to do a LOT more work on Blips before it's ready.

Raindrop has been invading my dreams lately, but although it's a cool concept, I need to do a TON of worldbuilding. I haven't written a high fantasy in YEARS, and my last one was highly beholden (okay, mostly beholden) to Terry Brooks and David Eddings. I want to write Lyssa's story - I just need her to break down and tell me more about her damn world first.

Hmm, looks like I have enough stuff to do one or more challenges at DII. *heads off to look at the forums, whistling...

*editted to add: signed up for the Novel Challenge Level II - Student - 24k and Worldbuilder - Student - 500 words/day. Now I have NO excuses - well, I have lots of excuses...
Okay, so the next few weeks will be VERY busy for me. I doubt I'll be in chat much - I have a TON of stuff due, both for personal and professional. So, if you need something, my first question will likely be, "Can it wait until May???" :)

My to-do list and deadlines for the next month:

1. Finish Seasons.
Deadline: April 15th.

2. Prep work for RavenCon.
Deadline: April 20th.

3. Line Edits for LP.
Deadline: May 1st.

4. Cook for the wedding.
Deadline: May 3rd.

I don't know that I'll be exercising that much this month. Hell, I might not be SLEEPING that much this month...

I'll hoist the flag when I get home - I don't have access to the pic here.

I just want to say up front that I love my publisher.

I've been having wicked problems with Dark Moon Seasons. Wicked problems.

So today, I caught Gwen on Skype, talked out the problems, and got an extension. New deadline: January 2008.

*wipes sweat from her brow*

Now I can write, without trying to kill myself over this. So here's the project list and deadlines:

- Dark Moon Seasons: New rough draft to editor by Oct. 1
- Finish non-fic chapter on magical creatures - due by August 31
- Finish Blood Sacrifice by Oct. 15th
- Submit proposals for The Edgewood Trilogy to Gwen this fall

Now back to work.

Well, I finished the plotting form for Seasons. Now I need to get cracking on the outline, as in right now (as soon as I finish this entry, in fact), because I have just realized that I have 10 weeks to write:

- 1 100k book (Seasons)
- 1 80k rough draft (Treaty)
- 1 8k nonfiction chapter (on magical beasts)
- 1 8-12k short story (Sacrifice)

To make the 180k in 9 weeks (since this week is outlines and stuff), I'll need to do 3k a day on the books. I'd like to finish up the chapter early (just have to do some research, which isn't bad), and the short should only take me a week or so. So if you see me online, tell me to write! :)

I'll put up the plotting form in a later post - if you have questions about it, go ask [livejournal.com profile] domynoe, as she's the genius behind it. I'll also have copies of the form at Writer's Group this weekend.

Edit to add: Okay, got 50+ scenes down. Tomorrow, during work, I'll put them in the right order and start outlining. Whee!

Well, after Sunday, my entire world is going to be packing, packing and did I mention packing? So I discussed with the hubby, and this weekend, I'm hoisting the flag.

Belladonna Dreams will be finished by Monday when I go to work.

The only break I'm really giving myself is tomorrow, when I go to writing group and feed the cats at my parents' house.

Off to write. I'll post counts as I go.

Starting count for the novel is: 74,967
I have some major deadlines coming up, so I just needed to list them out.

Alien Revelation - editing for Tony - due back to him by Feb. 10th

The Complete Guide to Writing Fantasy: The Author's Grimoire - final proofread - due back to Tee by Feb. 27th

Broken Wings - first episode draft - due by March 1st

Dark Moon Seasons - first edit - due by March 15th

Belladonna Dreams - second draft - due by May 30th

Can anyone think of any other deadlines I've forgotten? :p
