The headband is NOT part of the original costume, but I didn't have time to make the hat for it. I'll post another picture when I finish the trim (there's a belt and cuffs that go with it, and I need more trim on the neckline) and the hat, but it is wearable! Am pleased. Got a lot of compliments at Birka on it.
This is 10 yards of cotton damask, edged with black cotton velveteen trim.
The next one I make is going to be in linen, I think, for the warmer events. Without a train, most likely.
