We raised over EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS for The Boom Effect! EIGHT THOUSAND!!!!

And I got four way cool auction items, all four of which I am super excited about. I got the following listings:

I now have NO excuse not to start working on the Horseman podcast, since I got not only this package for editing my first couple of episodes, but (and I'm so excited about this!) I got a custom theme song for the podcast!

Seriously, if you aren't listening to Alex White's The Gearheart yet, why not??? It's amazing. And he does the music to it. And he's going to do my theme. (yes, I've been squeeing for most of the evening. Now you know why.)

I also got this package, which I shall be handing off to my lovely SIL for the Pumpkin. Very cool, this.

And, the gem, the absolutely one thing that I saw and lusted after - I got.

Ladies and gentlemen, you know what a huge baseball fan I am. Tee Morris has a series that I adore, the Billibubb Baddings series, and the second book is called The Case of the Pitcher's Pendant. This is the gorgeous cover:

Do you see the shirt? JR Blackwell did this picture, and ladies and gents, that is a Chicago White Sox jersey. Which I won, today.

It will be signed by the lovely JR herself, and then it will come with me to Balticon, where I shall get Tee himself (and others, of course) to sign it as well.

This is truly geek heaven.
All Merchant Registrations and Waiting List notifications have been sent out, as of 1 am this morning.

Yay!

Now all I have to do is sit down with the map and figure out where everyone is going to actually set up. :P

(PS - if there is anyone who still wants to try for the waiting list, I will definitely accept an email at birka_merchant_steward@yahoo.com with the number of tables, the number of spaces and whether or not they want electricity, but be warned - I have several merchants who are already on that list, and honestly, I'm not sure I'll be able to even find room for them. :( Not an answer I like to give, but I'm being honest.)

That means I can sleep and write this weekend. Yay!

Oh, and I have to plug this. Get over to Podiobooks.com and do a search for Nathan Lowell. Start at Quarter Share and seriously, listen. SERIOUSLY. These are awesome books. How can you NOT like a main character named Ishmael Horatio Wong??? Ish is awesome.
