A Light Through the Darkness

So, yeah, home today again. I haven't been sleeping well since, oh, Saturday, and I need to be up early tomorrow to get down to my doctor's appointment. Which means taking it VERY easy today. My brain is feeling Very Small, and I don't think I can edit properly, although I might try. I need to get the rest of the edits done for S&S soon. It's just hard to do anything right when your head is wrapped in cotton wool.

I might be in the right mood to finish Rites, though. You know, that depressed, cranky, more than slightly numb feeling? Yeah, that's where I am. Not good to edit. Good to write destruction.

I don't know if it's stress or what, but I woke up with cramps from hell. Two hours in a hot bathtub and tylenol did NOTHING to blunt the pain, so I gave up, called in, took some Vicodan and started laundry. Cleaning I can do on painkillers. Driving - not so much.

Thanks for all the messages yesterday. We knew the layoffs were coming - just not that they would be so extensive. *sigh* I'm hopeful that this year is the last bad year. I know the economy isn't going to turn around immediately - but I hope it's sooner, rather than later.

Okay, time to fold laundry and let the whiny cat out.

No accident, no nothing - not even really sliding, which was amazing. Now I'm home, I've got a list of stuff to do tonight and most importantly - everyone I care about up here is home as well. Yay! Now we can enjoy the storm.

To Do Tonight:

- WRITE!!! Write as much as possible on Dreams.
- Book airline ticket and car rental for May despite my own stupidity, this is now done. And hopefully I'll learn someday the difference between 7 AM and 7 PM.
- I'm sure there's something else, but damned if I can remember it...

Off to look at flights..
