It's Tuesday, and boy, do I have a gift for you!!!

My newest short story, The Sun Never Sets, is live at the Tales from the Ministry website!!!

This is a creepy little story (ask [livejournal.com profile] camilla_anna) in the steampunk world of the Ministry of Peculiar Occurances created by Tee Morris and Pip Ballantine. It was a lot of fun to write, more fun to record, and I hope you enjoy it.

As Tee said on Twitter, "You might never look at Big Ben the same again."

And don't forget, on April 26, the Ministry of Peculiar Occurances novel will be available!!! Get a copy - this is an awesome, awesome book.
And Val's head is not hurting much! Yay! I feel HUMAN again!

So enough with this "taking it easy" crap today. Today, we get shit DONE! (Yes, I'm listening to Irish rebellion music. It makes me feisty.) I have plans for today, and I refuse to let them get derailed.

To-Do:

- Morning pages
- Swimming
- Baseball at 1 pm
- Strawberry Scones
- Record The Sun Never Sets

- Fix plot summary and outline for Tales
- Vacuum
- Dishes
- Laundry

- Meal Plan for the week
- Running out for Catnip
- Episode 2 of Tales
- Promo for Tales
- Edit 1 story for S&S

Wow, that looks like a plan! Time to implement it!

What are YOU doing today?
Yep, the new desk (thank you again, [livejournal.com profile] beard5!) is now up and fully functional. The cats are confused. (edit: Dear lord, they've discovered they can jump on top of it. This could be very, very bad. Sebastian is sitting on top of the shelves, looking scared.) The only thing that I don't like is where the keyboard is - the keyboard tray succumbed to the elements (unfortunately, part of it had to sit in my yard for about a week before we could get it inside) and my keyboard only has one foot. However, I have another keyboard (I have about 3, actually), so I might swap it out. We'll see.

You all know what this means now, right? It means that I can write in my office again! (It also means I have no excuse to boot [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills off his super-fast computer to play WoW) And I can now podcast! That will be happening very, very shortly. I want to start getting Horseman on the air...

And maybe, just maybe, there will be a podcast of Snow for Christmas. If I can read sex I wrote without blushing, stammering or anything like that.

Off to bed now. I need sleep so I can get up tomorrow and get back on the exercise horse.

Okay, here's the very, very first clip with the new mixer board. I'll be playing with this over the next few weeks and should hopefully have the novel going very, very soon.

Let me know what you think?

But lots of progress on another project that's also on a tight deadline. :p There is no lack of projects in my life lately.

So I edited 4 chapters for a nonfiction book I'm working on with [livejournal.com profile] davelaw and unpacked the boxes I found waiting on my doorstep - yay mail! The Partylite box was ignored (lanterns for the tent this summer), but the two boxes from BSW were opened eagerly. I have a thick tech manual to read between calls, as I am reminded how terribly untech I am. :p But I will learn!

For those techies out there, I got an Alessis Multiwire board that I will be hooking up to the big computer tonight. I'll probably be posting some snips on here to show off my techie expertise as I figure stuff out.

I'll be writing tonight too - I've GOT to get caught up on Seasons and I have another short niggling at my brain, so I brought Puck to work (with new batteries this time so he actually WORKS). I might shelve the techie stuff until this weekend, when my tech guru can hold my hand and walk me through stuff.

The tentative title for the podcast is "Dark Magic and Dirty Water." If you don't get the second reference, shame on you you obviously aren't a Red Sox fan. Get thee to the store and buy your Dropkick Murphys cd, you heathens!:p

The first game is tomorrow. I cannot wait.
A voice in the darkness...

Listen. Let me know what you think.
