Work: No packing last night - I'm contemplating coming in Monday and doing a bunch of stuff while no one is at work to bother me. We were busy, so I got good stats but no packing.

The good news? I'm not on the phones until TUESDAY. YAY!!!

School: The good news is that they've scheduled no OT for the first week of classes. But I still haven't heard from my director if I can get out at 4:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays when we don't have OT. I'm hoping so, but we'll see.

I got my books Tuesday, and I turn in my paper today, so this semester is in the books. Unless I totally bomb the paper (which I doubt), I should pull an A this semester too. If only I'd done this well in college the first time... oh well.

Writing: Snow continues apace. I need to get in touch with some folks regarding Elements and I need to get the revisions in for Seasons. I also have two crits I need to do for DII, and I need to clean my writing desk up. I'm also working on the first chapter for the podcast of Horseman - I'll be looking for some beta "listeners" for my efforts. Anyone want to volunteer? I'll warn you now - it's not going to be nearly as spiffy as Tee's stuff, but I'm hoping it won't be too horrible. I just need to make sure I'm audible and stuff. Email me or comment and let me know if you want this inflicted on you at some point in September.
Just to remind myself:

Apocalypse Cycle
- Get Dark Moon Seasons to publisher
- Write outline for Last Rites
- Record podcast of Not Your Father's Horseman and submit to Podiobooks

Edgewood Trilogy
- Plot outline for trilogy
- Write outline for Descent into Darkness

- Write Snow and turn in to Lilley Press

Pendragon Chronicles
- Finish revising Belladonna Dreams and start shopping it about
- Start outlining Aconite Muse (working title and yes, I know it sucks, but I'm working on a theme here, I think)

- Outline Shanghai
- Outline Blips
- Possibly outline Raindrop Escape

It looks like a lot, but I'd like to get some more books in the outline stage so I can pick them up later. And outlining some of them now will give me the chance to get ahead on the ones that are already contracted.

I don't know if I'm doing NaNo. I'll probably hang out, but I never seem to finish - something ALWAYS comes up. I dunno. If I do, it will most likely be either Shanghai or Aconite. I need to do a LOT more work on Blips before it's ready.

Raindrop has been invading my dreams lately, but although it's a cool concept, I need to do a TON of worldbuilding. I haven't written a high fantasy in YEARS, and my last one was highly beholden (okay, mostly beholden) to Terry Brooks and David Eddings. I want to write Lyssa's story - I just need her to break down and tell me more about her damn world first.

Hmm, looks like I have enough stuff to do one or more challenges at DII. *heads off to look at the forums, whistling...

*editted to add: signed up for the Novel Challenge Level II - Student - 24k and Worldbuilder - Student - 500 words/day. Now I have NO excuses - well, I have lots of excuses...
I have about 16 scenes written down (1-liners) - now to put them in order and flesh out the outline a bit. I'm actually starting to get really excited about this novella.

My husband is less so, especially since I've already started playing carols when I work on it. >.< Oh well. Such is the life of a writing widower.

Productive lunches - I likes them very much!
