Dear Mother Nature,

I know how much you love winter. I agree, you look gorgeous in white.

BUT.

There is still 20+ inches in my backyard. An additional 4-8 inches is overkill.

And during the morning commute? Respectfully, you suck.

I've had it with snow. I want Spring in all its rainy glory. I want cool winds that hint at warmth and bright blue skies. I want to search for and find the fragile green buds that will unfurl into leaves or flowers.

I've had enough gray. Enough cold. Enough with the whole wintery blah!

While we had no accumulation laying on the ground beforehand, snowfall at the end of March is just plain weird here in the PNW. And now they are threatening us with 2-7 inches. This is Washington State for crying out loud. Snow is ND, MN, or NH. Geez, mother nature, get it right. We get wet stuff, not white stuff.

I wish I could make a smart*ss reply like: I'll be glad to ship some wet stuff to you. Alas, outside it is dumping huge, gargantuan flakes in a descending curtain. In a macabre twist, the sun is shining brightly through it all. Weird. My dog had to pee and she now looks like a very strange spotted skunk. Now all I have to do is figure out how to avoid having her shake that cold nature all over my bare legs.
