Yesterday was my treatment - yay. Ah well, it keeps me out of the hospital. It's been a very busy morning today - I've already made corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot (will be interesting to see how it comes out with Dos Equis Amber - I didn't have anything but Mexican beer in the fridge, and everything else was a lighter beer), taken pictures of the door out back and sent them off to the Freecycle lady who's interested, sent copies of NYFH and DMS to [livejournal.com profile] jackoutofthebox for a project that will be very cool, put pork loin in to marinate in a mixed berry vinagrette and burned my grilled cheese (I like it that way though, so all is good). Now, I'm heading out the door to see Mom and Dad for another appointment, and then we're going to the gym. Guess I'd better get dressed and pack my gym bag, huh?

Oh, and because I was out there, you get pansies!

And the valerian that slept under 4 feet of snow all winter and refused to die:

Or afternoons, as the case may be. We're at Mom and Dad's, watching the Red Sox and enjoying the amazing smells that are coming out of the kitchen. Mom is such a good cook. And pound cake smells so yummy in the oven...

Writing this afternoon - I want to finish the plot summary and start the outline for VB, so I can get that going. Dad's getting me flower seeds (yay!) so Tuesday I can start digging the small flower bed in the yard. I'm getting pansies today too (we're stopping at Walmart so I can get stuff) and I cannot wait. Expect lots of pictures over the summer.

And my forsythia is blooming!

Happy Sunday!

I have to get my camera out either tonight or tomorrow - my little pot of daffs has EXPLODED. It's awesome. And the cats haven't eaten them either!

Lettuce commences on Saturday.

What a weekend.

[livejournal.com profile] argus7hills got his fencing qual this weekend! And we went skinny-dipping last night - it was cold, but awesome. I haven't been skinny-dipping at Harpers in a few years, so this was fun. We drank, we ate, we laughed, we cried (just a bit) - and it was good. I needed an event like this to end the summer.

Not only that, but we have 3 new members of The Scorned Lady! Welcome to Earial, Anya and Batty the Black!

Our event schedule is crowded for the next few months! We're dithering over Coronation - depends on school. But [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills will be at Williamsfaire on 10/4/08, and we're contemplating camping at Baronial Birthday on 10/11/08 - we might do a Ship's Breakfast there.

Now we're home, there's a veggie-packed quiche in the oven cooking (with veggies from our garden!) and I was very excited to find one little green heirloom tomato on my new tomato plants! I haven't killed my garden!

I'm still allergic to HFCS. Of course, now Pepsi has brought back the Lemon-Flavored Pepsi I loved. *sigh* Stupid allergies.

This week is Snow week. I'm only working OT tomorrow and I've got no classes, so I should be good. I want to hit 15k by next Sunday. I'll be bringing what I have to writer's group on Saturday, so they can see how it's coming.

Debating fencing practice on Tuesday. Definitely hitting Craft Night on Thursday.

Man, so much to do, so little time to do it.

Oh, and the Magic number? 15.

But a good ouch.

Today, instead of cleaning the living room, I went outside. I hacked and yanked for about 45 minutes, clearing out stranglevine and random weeds from a small plot on the side of the yard. Then, with my lovely Baronessa's help (yes, my Baronessa is my landlady), I planted two zucchini plants from her garden that were threatening her cucumbers, and my two big tomato plants (the cherry tomatoes stayed in their pot). And now I am sore, but I have a real, honest to goodness GARDEN.

I'm so excited. Pictures later maybe, when I can move.

I have seedlings!!!!

I was watering this morning and saw 3 little green tops! One asparagus bean, and I think a few basil. Have to go back and check tomorrow.

Yay!

(And no, didn't make it to the farmer's market this morning - I overslept.)
