A Light Through the Darkness

It is 9:30 pm, and I really do need to start packing for the con tomorrow. Yes, I said START.

It's been one of those weeks. I'm so glad to have 3 days off this weekend.

I need to pack my suitcase full of books. I need to find my business cards (they're on my mess of a table here somewhere). I need drag the suitcase up from the basement.

I'm seriously thinking I need ice cream.

Maybe the beer wasn't a good idea - now I'm yawning. And I have a ton to do.

Tomorrow I'm heading up to Farmington ME for the NEGA con - if you're in the area, come see me! I'm giving away a signed copy of Horseman to one lucky person.

Then Sunday I'm up to Old Town, to see the youngest sibs and my adorable niece the Pumpkin (she told everyone that at the last bridal shower that she was a Pumpkin, because that's what we all call her) and give her early birthday presents. I found an adorable shirt that says "Little on size, Big on attitude" which describes her PERFECTLY.

And I looked at my writing schedule today. Oh my.

Did I mention I sent a query letter the other day? I did. My first.

I got an acceptance. :) More later, once I've signed the contract, but just as a tease -

Off to pack. I guess.

Well, hubby was a saint and let me sleep off the week. It was lovely! I finally got up around 2:30 pm. Then I called Domino's, ordered pizza for lunch, and got down to cleaning and packing.

I got one corner of the bedroom cleaned and organized. Took a bag of trash out to the dumpster, and packed up another trash bag to go to Goodwill tomorrow when I go grocery shopping. Tomorrow, I'm planning on packing up the closet and then storing boxes in that area.

Luckily, I have Monday off, so I can do more then as well. I need to get our living room habitable by 6 pm Monday night, for my birthday party/Opening Day viewing. :p Gotta have your priorities, after all. ;)

Tonight, I need to write, and write lots. So that's what I'm doing now. And I've got 11 extra points from hauling stuff for 3 hours today, so I can drink lots of Pepsi while I'm writing.
