Ah, orange light on my phone.* Must mean that Annual Enrollment for one of our biggest clients has begun. Oh joy, oh rapture.

Yes, that is sarcasm.

Anyways, sorry I haven't gotten back to people - work has eaten my brain. Luckily, Sunday afternoon after I finish [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills' Halloween costume looks like a time I will be writing/reading/editing. Anything before that is hazy and hopeful at best.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get VTO tonight, but considering we were orange-lit yesterday for most of the day, I'm not counting on it. Bah. How am I supposed to finish my little sister's Christmas present if I can't crochet at work??? (Kidding, kidding!!!)

Tomorrow is Baronial Birthday for Stonemarche, and I'm not sure if we have directions yet (I'll check the Stonemarche calendar at work), but if not, I have a CIG around here somewhere and I'll pull the address from that. We're picking up [livejournal.com profile] beard5 around 8:30 am (yes, I hear that a large regular Decaf from Dunkins is hitching a ride as well) and heading over. Pig roast! Outdoors! Yay!

I will probably bring the crocheting with me, although the weaving circle is that day too, and I need to rewarp my loom. So I'll bring both, since the blanket I'm crocheting (for Deb, not you, [livejournal.com profile] caitlindancer will keep me warm. :D

Oh, and I heard from the parentals again. They're spending their "first last night" in Ireland Sunday night at a pub called "Dirty Nellie's". Apparently, this is something you are "supposed to do." They've had a blast and have tons of pictures.

And yes, they'll be home Monday, so your booze will come home on time, lush. :p

*Orange light means we have between 4 and 10 calls holding in the queue. Red light means more than 10. On the last night of this client's AE my first year, the red light meant we had 300 calls holding in the queue at midnight. Did I mention we close at midnight? And yeah, we had to stay and clean out all the calls. Bah.

Going to be running tomorrow - gotta get back up to my house and grab some things, then off to the library to do some research so I can finish this damn article, then to work. Bleah. [livejournal.com profile] hakerh, I did get your thesis and I'm going to read it at work tomorrow if I have free time, okay? If not, I'll get it back to you by the end of the weekend.

Schedules just came out - OT next Monday, and then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the week after. My bill balance will be happy. I, on the other hand, will not be. I hate working OT, but I love the money. I might even be able to afford a wee bit from BPAL (since I now have a list a mile long that I want to try. Evil, evil website!) after that. And I'll be able to pay credit card down, which is a GOOD thing.

*sigh* I wish I had a vacation day or two I could a) take now and b) use to write with. I'm starting to go nuts. Thank you to everyone who critted Sacrifice - I've printed it out and will be going over it and crits in the next few days.

And now, to bed. I'm thinking I might just treat myself to pancakes tomorrow morning - I'm jonesing for them now (thank you, Kurt!).

Well, Donna helped me figure out one plot point - I'll be doing a bit more on the timeline. She's also reading the first part of Blood Sacrifice, and I think I might work on that a bit more later.

I dunno. I gotta stop whining and work on the book, but I really don't want to. I don't know why.

I'm such a wuss. Off to write.

Well, okay, it doesn't suck, but I'm bored and I can't concentrate at work and I wanna go home. I also want my book to be written (I've abandoned my synopsis for a bit, as I'm going to plow ahead with my timeline once it goes up on the computer, where I can see it) and I want a ton of time to just sew.

I've discovered that when I'm timelining, I keep referring to things that happened before, so the QuickPad gets irritating quickly, because I have to keep paging up.

New plan: bring book to work on at work, and work on timeline when I get home. We'll see.

I am so freaking bored. I'm even too bored to write.

*sigh*
This post won't be long, but it will be a bit whiny.

I just finished re-reading [livejournal.com profile] tambowrites' last novel, Valley of the Soul, and I'm currently now feeling that

a. I shouldn't ever try and write again

and

b. I won't be able to wait until Stain of Corruption comes out.

Sigh.

Okay, wallowing time is over. Back to work.

P.S. [livejournal.com profile] tambowrites, when is Stain coming out again????? :D
[livejournal.com profile] wen_spencer and [livejournal.com profile] tambowrites, you guys are my heroes.

HOW did you write your sequels without going bald???

I think, however, I've finally figured out what is going on with this book and the last book. I hope. *crosses toes, since she needs fingers uncrossed to write with, as she is still at work and writing on paper*

My plan at this point is to have the plot summary for Seasons done by Friday, the notecards done this weekend, and the chapter outline done by next Friday. I think this is doable.

Now, as long as the universe cooperates...
There is approximately an inch of snow on the ground here, and it's still snowing. By the end of this storm, we're supposed to have 6 to 12 inches.

[livejournal.com profile] ammepyre, this is NOT the answer to allergies!!! *grin*

Sigh.

No writing today. I stayed up making mashed potatoes and roast turkey last night, and then took a nap today. I'm going to bed when I get home tonight.

But, I'm going to do some editing on Seasons here during breaks, etc. I've got my notebook and my colored pens, so we're all set.

Bah. Snow.

It has been the week from hell. Already.

Between the washer/dryer not working downstairs, the temporary filling in [livejournal.com profile] argus7hills' tooth breaking and needing to be repaired and the fact that I need to be in Worcester for a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, and that I STILL haven't really started on the edits for Seasons, and Dreams STILL isn't done... *sigh*

And my Red Sox had a HORRIBLE season opener. And Joe passed away.

Dammit, I want a redo!!!!

Okay, not of all of it. I had a good birthday party yesterday - [livejournal.com profile] kuzushi and Baron Bil, [livejournal.com profile] dorio and Amy, and my mom all came over to watch the opener, eat lots of yummy food and watch the Sox lose. I got sweet gifts, and we had fun. And cake.

German chocolate cake. With coconut pecan frosting.

(Why no, I wasn't counting points yesterday, why do you ask?)

On the health news, I gained .2 lbs last week - bah. Oh well. I'm back on the bandwagon this morning.

Which reminds me...gotta go log points. See you all later.

Yes, I know, it's only March - but it was a glorious day today! I didn't even wear a jacket into work. Just short sleeves. The sun was brilliant, and the air smelled fresh.

Happy Val!

I swam today too. 30 minutes, and it felt good. 20 minutes of stairs (running up and down), and I've got 4 extra points today. Go me!

Yesterday, I made a roast chicken and strawberry jam and garlic smashed potatoes. Today, all I made was a caprese salad with baby greens. I slacked. :p But I packed about 1/2 a box of books, and yes, I actually put some books in the to-be-sold pile. *sigh* I hate getting rid of books. Then again, it's more room for other books to be bought!

I hate packing. I really do. But this time, I'm doing it right. EVERYTHING'S going to be labelled, dammit!

More later.
