Because I really feel I should use more of them than I do. And Kitty and Lockheed are just cool.

I have not seen the Wolverine movie yet - maybe we'll see that this weekend, along with Star Trek. It depends on the boyo and what he wants to do.

Had my sleep study last night - very odd experience. They had me try out a CPAP machine in the middle of the night - they say I slept better after that, although I felt like I woke up a few times. Might have just been dreams, though. I felt really good this morning, though, so hey, if it works, I'll wear it! I want one that covers my nose and mouth, though. Just the nose one left me with a dry feeling in my mouth this morning.

I'm off work for the next week to take care of some personal things - I'll still be blogging, though. And writing. My goal is to have a rough draft of Velvet Box done by next Sunday.

Then it's time to start working on Last Rites. Also, be on the lookout for some emails/posts from the Admiral and his secretary on the Dept. V stuff (which I am WOEFULLY behind on and I apologize!) - they're coming!

Oh, and just because WOKQ played it this morning, in honor of Star Trek coming out, I give you The Firm:

Edited to add: Seeing Wolverine tonight, and have promised [livejournal.com profile] irysangel that I will post a review. And my doctor called - they have the results of my sleep study already. O.o I'm getting a CPAP.

Most of the CPAP machines come with a nose/mouth cover and usually a humidifier so you don't get dried out.

At least mine did.

The tech I spoke to said they start people out with the nose only usually, and then switch to the nose/mouth if needed. That may be recent, though.

And it had a humidifier, but since my mouth wasn't covered, it didn't get it.

ljcblue has one and so do many of my friends. They take some getting used to, but the difference it makes is amazing. You can actually breath.

I will never forget the one time I went camping with some friends, one of whom had deviated septum. I spent the entire night hoping he'd stop snoring, then panicking when he was quiet. He's got the CPAP now and (though I don't know how related they are) he's lost about 60 pounds. Of course, he's also a black belt...

Good luck.

Well, it's easier to exercise when you aren't exhausted... ;)

Yeah, Argus has one too. I used it last night(not his, but one there), but I don't know if they'll prescribe me one. I'll find out on the 21st.

Yep, my brother had to start on the nose only, but it just didn't work out. The mouth and nose one works great though and his sleep has been so much better. It's affected him in a lot of positive ways with his health and state of mind plus his wife is sleeping better, too, since she's not listening for him to begin breathing again all night long.

Yeah, my hubby has one and I wish he'd use it more. Maybe if I start using mine he'll get back on the bandwagon.

My husband has a cpap. I had to bully him into it at first. Told him flat out I wouldn't sleep in the same bed with him and listen to him snore his way to death. Sleeping on the couch got his attention. He's been using it for almost 4 years now, and he can't sleep unless he's got it on. :D

Yeah, I slept much better (wasn't tired this morning) after they put it on me. Hopefully, it will help with my energy levels.

Wolverine was awesome. I really enjoyed it. But it doesn't hold a candle to Star Trek!! It was AWESOME!!!!!

Wolverine was a good movie. My inner writer/geek is not completely satisfied, but I didn't get up and walk out. :p I was a bit bummed that it didn't follow the comic a bit more, but I'm okay with the fact that it did follow the mythos the movies have set up.

We were going to see Trek today, but between my migraine and hubby's glaucoma test, we decided to wait.

Yeah, I felt the same way about Wolverine... not quite what I wanted but stil within the bounds of the current series. Hopefully it will improve, but that's what I say every time.

Can't wait for you to see Star Trek. Everyone I've seen so far has liked it, except 1 person. Not everyone drooled over it like me, but still, they were satisfied.
